OUR POLICIES

Terms of Use

Last updated: May 29, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Puro camera app, related services, and any content or features made available by Puro ("Services"). By downloading, installing, or using Puro, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. The Service and Your License

Puro grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license remains in effect for as long as you comply with these Terms and, where applicable, maintain an active subscription.

Puro is licensed, not sold. Puro and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services that are not expressly granted to you.

3. Changes to the Service

We may add, modify, or remove features of Puro at any time. We may also stop supporting certain devices, operating system versions, or features when it is no longer practical to maintain them. Where required by law, we will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

Puro may offer optional paid features through subscriptions or one-time purchases, sold through the Apple App Store. The current price, billing period, and feature set will be shown to you before you confirm the purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings on your device.
  • Free trials, where offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

5. Your Content

Photos and other content you capture or create with Puro belong to you. Puro does not claim ownership of your photos, and we do not upload your photo library by default.

You are responsible for backing up your photos. Puro is a camera app, not a storage or archiving service. We are not responsible for any loss of photos, settings, or other content stored on your device.

6. Acceptable Use

When using Puro, you agree not to:

  • Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.
  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense any part of the Services.
  • Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code, except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the app, or share access in a way that circumvents subscription limits.
  • Use the app to create derivative works or a substantially similar service.
  • Use the app to capture, store, or share content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights, or that is unlawful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.

7. Intellectual Property

Puro, the Puro name and logo, the app interface, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Puro and its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use Puro's branding without our prior written permission.

If you choose to send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Puro, you grant us the right to use that feedback to improve the Services without any obligation or compensation to you.

8. Third-Party Services

Puro relies on third-party services such as the Apple App Store for distribution and billing. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services that Puro may link to or rely on.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected.

You use Puro at your own discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for any damage to your device or loss of data that results from using the app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Puro and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or photos, arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for Puro in the twelve months before the claim arose, or, if you have not paid anything, twenty Canadian dollars (CAD $20).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Puro at any time by uninstalling the app and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription through your Apple ID settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that could harm Puro, our users, or third parties. On termination, your license to use the app ends, but any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Privacy

Your use of Puro is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.

13. Age Requirements

You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use Puro. Puro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the Services.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia, unless a different forum is required by applicable consumer protection law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Puro after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
